1937 MG SA Drophead Coupe by Tickford
6 cylinder 2.3 Litre 4 Speed manual
Sold by Beaulieu Garage to a local student in 1966 for the princely sum of £30. We have some interesting pictures of it outside his parents house in Lymington; though in rather poorer condition than it is now. Four years later he sold it for £70.
Restored between 1991 and 1993 by the marque's leading restorer Peter Ratcliffe of SVW at an substantial cost. Over twenty years and 6,000 miles later it is a real testament to the quality of the restoration. The paint is still superb, the chrome is sparkling and the trim is still georgeous. It has a superb torquey engine, lovely gearbox and drives beautifully.
The car has been meticulously maintained since and has featured in MG Enthusiast magazine in 1994. Finished in an attractive colour scheme of Coffee and cream coachwork with chocolate mohair hood and oatmeal leather.
A fabulous open 4 seater Vintage car which exudes elegance and character.
